Todays the day, as we enter into our 3rd year of supporting Record Store Day in Birmingham!
Once again this year with the wonderful Miss Danielle Perry.
Unfortunately yesterday the 12pm show at Swordfish Records on Temple Street had to be cancelled.
However 3pm show at Polar Bear Records (Kings Heath, Birmingham) is very much still alive and happening so come down, listen to some FREE music, buy some vinyl and support your local record store!

This week the team at OxjamBrum shared their love for the birrmmzz music scene on SPOTI-FEWAPY by selecting 12 songs made of 100% local meat. The Oxjam Takeover 2010 features no less than 40 artists from the local environs playing across 6 city venues this Saturday 16th October.
Wristbands for the event cost £6 and will enable you to have access to all venues and hence, all artists including Malpas, Tantrums, Bronze Medals, Shana Tova, Hot Monocles, Savant, James Rea and many more. Speech Fewapy Records will be represented by Tom Peel and Greg Bird & Flamingo Flame (appearing with Sunset Cinema Club) both at The Victoria, so we knows where we’re going to be from 4.30pm this Saturday.

Last week we ran a promotion for Tom Peel’s EP release this week which involved us biking copies of Tom’s new EP ‘Triple Click It’ to those who replied to our mailing list email with their Birmingham addresses. On Saturday we made good on our promise and delivered to all those we could reach in the city. Due to our courier numbers being a little more depleted than expected (there was just me and Nick in the end) we were unable to deliver to an address in Redditch and one in Sutton. Apologies guys we just ran out of daylight! Next time we won’t fail you, I hope you don’t mind receiving your advanced copies by snail mail.
Here are some photos from our travels on Saturday, we saw some areas of Birmingham we didn’t know existed and it was all a bit of an adventure so at the moment we are definitely still harboring future plans to do the same with each Speech Fewapy release.
Thanks again to all those who took part, we hope you enjoy the EP as much as we’re doing and hope to see you at the launch gig on the 25th.
Stay classy
