And so to the first SPOTI-FEWAPY playlist of 2011, an honour that will bestow our talented son, Greg Bird & Flamingo Flame. The debut EP from GB&FF – ‘Shruburbia’, was released in April 2010 on Speech Fewapy Records. ‘Shruburbia’ received unanimous praise from fans and bloggers alike and as his first solo effort, marked a very successful step into the unknown for GB&FF.
GB&FF spent the rest of the 2010 honing production techniques, performing live, spinning 90s tunes across Birmingham clubs and penning the follow up to ‘Shruburbia’. The as-yet-untitled EP will consist of another 7 self-produced songs and is set for release at the end of February/beginning of March. This SPOTI-FEWAPY playlist will give you a sneak peek into the records and songs that have influenced the making of the new GB&FF EP.
